The 41st SMART Local 66 Fishing Coho Salmon Derby was Saturday, September 13, and the weigh-in was at Dagmar’s Landing in Everett like in past years.
We had 55 entrants, up from 35 last year; may it continue in that direction.
The day was nice, the beer was cold, the food was good, lots of banter and laughter.
A big shout out for my volunteers, Alex Lorenzo kept track of the fish weights and prizes, Greg Miller weighed in the fish, Gaye Schmidt manned the food tables, Rocking Ronnie filled in where needed, Mark Nosbusch was on the Blackstone Griddle, and Stephanie Hobbs made my Cedar Plank Salmon again for me this year. She did great….hell, they all did.
We volunteers were there from 6 am till about 4 pm or so. Just a good day with my fellow Brothers/Sisters….may there be many more.
